Sarah Hirschfeld, MSc, PAg

Vegetation Scientist

Sarah is a BC Professional Agrologist and Environmental Scientist who is passionate about agriculture and ecology. Sarah completed her MSc Plant Agriculture from the University of Guelph and BSc Environmental Science with a specialization in Biodiversity and Conservation from the Universities of Ottawa and Birmingham.

Sarah is a BC certified Nutrient Management Planner. She has reviewed applications for the BC Climate Agri-Solutions Fund and received Environmental Farm Plan training. Sarah has over 7 years of diverse fieldwork experience ranging among pollinator identification and behavior, water quality, riparian health, crop performance, tree-planting, and raft-guiding. She has provided quality and science services to the Cannabis industry since adult-use was legalized in Canada, including developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and research and development (R&D) programs.

In her free-time, Sarah can most likely be found cultivating nuts and berries at Golden Way Farm, or in the mountains paddling, snowboarding, or hiking.
