Elinor Sisk, BSc
Junior Biologist

Elinor is a Junior Biologist with a strong foundation in biological research and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Geographic Information Technology. Passionate about leveraging GIS to better understand local environments, Elinor is committed to integrating ecological principles with spatial analysis to support sustainability initiatives.
Elinor thrives in collaborative environments and has experience with both independent scientific research and dynamic group projects. Her Honours thesis, which examined evolutionary fitness in flies, highlighted her strengths in experimental design, data analysis, and effective project management. She has also conducted fieldwork in a range of environments, including pollinator sampling in agricultural landscapes and forest stand assessments in both secondary and old growth forests. These hands-on research opportunities have equipped Elinor with a versatile skill set in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
Outside of work, Elinor enjoys spending time exploring the outdoors with her dog, Lizzy, as well as reading and cooking.
