Emma Bradshaw, MSc, HBSc, BIT
Conservationist and Marine Biologist
Emma is a marine biologist and Biologist in Training (BIT) with a Bachelor’s in Marine Biology and a Master’s in Conservation Biology. Her research focuses on integrating species biology, movement, and behaviour into ecological models to support effective conservation planning, with a particular passion for shark conservation and the role of marine protected areas in ecosystem protection.
Throughout her academic and professional career, Emma has gained experience in environmental education, environmental policy, carbon mitigation programs, GIS, and ecological modelling. She has also conducted fieldwork on a range of species—including corals in Bermuda, birds in Sweden, and sharks in Nova Scotia—building strong skills in data collection, analysis, collaboration, and communication.
In her spare time, Emma enjoys hiking, going to the gym, walking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
