Mikayla Latta, BSc, RPBio
Biologist
Mikayla is a Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio) specializing in marine and freshwater biology and environmental studies. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of Victoria and is deeply committed to ongoing professional development, demonstrated through her involvement in diverse fieldwork and environmental projects.
She brings experience in project management, riparian area assessments, wildlife surveys and monitoring, rare plant and invasive species surveys, water and soil sampling, and data analysis and reporting. Mikayla also contributes to environmental education and leads community and Indigenous engagement initiatives, underscoring her dedication to inclusive, collaborative approaches.
In addition to her ecological expertise, Mikayla has significant experience in the mining sector. She is well-versed in permitting and regulatory processes, and adept at navigating complex environmental frameworks with precision and care.
Outside of work, Mikayla enjoys biking, hiking, gardening, skiing, and spending time outdoors with her dogs, Little and Big Milo.
