Communications Specialist

Jesse is a Communications Specialist with a background in anthropology. The majority of his career has been spent with Indigenous organizations at the operational and governance level.

A member of ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation (AFN) near Windermere, Jesse spent 10 years as the manager of the Ktunaxa Nation Council’s Communication Department in addition to 2 years as a member of the Information Technology Department.

Jesse served his home community of AFN as an elected Councilor from 2006 to 2012. He also was appointed to the Board of Governors for the College of the Rockies from 2014 to 2020 which included 2 years as the Chair. Jesse’s key motivations are ensuring that Indigenous perspectives, knowledge and experiences are reflected and incorporated across all the work he does.

In his spare time, Jesse enjoys spending time with his son.
